news report will normally consist of the following techniques:
–PTC:
Piece to camera
–C/A:
A cutaway
–V/O:
Voice over
–I/V:
Interview
–Vox pops: Voice of the people
–Graphics
It
is important to remember that any version of events contained within a news
broadcast can be impacted by its use of visuals, voice over, presenter lead-in
and
the comments from the ‘so-called’ experts. A typical news report will follow this structure: C/A,
I/V, C/A, I/V, PTC, C/A.
