Newsround - Case Study

Newsround is a TV news programme, aimed at children, that is aired on the CBBC channel every day.
The target audience can catch up on the news bulletins online via the CBBC website - this can be

Newsround has a target audience of 6-12 year olds and the news stories used in the bulletins will reflect
this. According to their website, ‘we try to pick out stories that will appeal to our viewers – and a we try
and bring a child’s view into our reports. Our team is a mix of child experts, journalists and teachers’.
